From the seller……Edmé Samson (1810–1891) was the founder of the porcelain firm Samson, Edmé et Cie (commonly known as Samson Ceramics) and a famous copyist of porcelain and pottery. On the top is a miniature hand painted blue painting of a sailboat in a harbor with four small flower and leaf decorations along the outside edge.
