Description
From the sellerThis is a lamp that I got in 2005 while working at a furniture store closeout sale in Wisconsin. It was in a storeroom along with other 'never sold' lamps. It is a Pieri Creations, Philadelphia lamp. I always called it "the Conquistador Lamp" and only lately discovered the history behind the lamp. It has sat on a shelf in my shop as a conversation piece. The lamp has the original tags. It measures approx 23" high to the top of the socket. The base is approx 9" x 10." This appears to be a plaster cast lamp--the black edges appear to be painted plaster and the Mayan turquoise surface appears painted and spatter paint highlight. There are nicks on some of the black edges. It appears to be a Zarebski influence.
