Due to the high mintage, this coin is the easiest to find in every grade, up to and including MS65. According to the NGC Price Guide, as of November 2025, a Half Eagle from 1909 in circulated condition is worth between $1060 and $1145. However, on the open market 1909 D 5 Dollar Coins in pristine, uncirculated condition sell for as much as $30000.
