From the sellerExceptionally Rare 1899 The Clyde Steamship Company Steamship IROQUOIS Voyage 81 Dinner Ticket. Seat No. 15. F.H. WOODMAN Purser. Steamship Iroquois, built in 1888 holds historical significance as the first steel commercial steamship built in the United States. The ticket is printed with the name of the ship's Purser, F. H. Woodman, who was the officer responsible for handling tickets and passenger care. A small printer's mark in the bottom left corner reads "C. 15M. 9-99", which indicates this batch of tickets was printed in September 1899.
