From the sellerBorn in Ohio, he graduated from Monmouth College in Illinois and immigrated to Iowa where he taught school while he read law. Begun in c.1870 the program folded c.1882. He is writing to the Acting Commissioner of Indian Affairs Thomas M. Nichol who had a short tenure.
