1880's Shakesperian Souvenir Booklet Thomas W Keene / W R Hayden

An original rare 1880's Victorian Shakesperian Souvenir booklet featuring the tragedian stage actor Thomas Wallace Keene (whose real birth name was Thomas R. Eagleston Oct 26, 1840-June 1 1898). Keene was a stage actor in Shakespear plays 1880-1888 while under the management of William R. Hayden. Booklet measures approximately 5 3/4" by 4" with 16 pages which includes a number of stone lithographs of Keene in varying roles. The text discusses his acting and a comparison of him with the famous actor Edwin Booth (father of John Wilkes Booth). Condition - is as shown with some wear. A rare piece of stage theatre ephemera.
