This is an 1864 Two-Cent Piece 2C (Large Motto Variety). This brown coin, introduced during the Civil War, is made up of "French Bronze" - 95 percent copper and 5 percent tin and zinc. The 162-year-old 2-cent piece is in AU-50 About Uncirculated condition.
