From the sellerA 2 1/8" diameter white metal commemorative medal honoring the first International Exposition in 1861 in Florence, Italy by Adolfo de Nicola & Giovanni Vagnetti, struck at Farnesi Inc. One side features the head of King Victor Emmanuel II facing left surrounded by legend & by twelve symbols and coats-of-arms representing the principal Italian cities in 1861. The reverse side shows allegorical turreted figure of Italy standing in front with sword and shield of Savoy, lion at her feet, the dome of St. Peter and the Palazzo della Signoria in the background. In. very good condition with detailed lettering in excellent view along with images.
