The certificate is signed “Nathan B. Ives,” almost certainly Dr. Nathan Beers Ives (1806–1869) of New Haven. Clear genealogical interest (Amos F. Barnes, New Haven, Connecticut). Condition is consistent with age: original fold lines as carried, scattered staining and toning, and light edge wear, but complete and legible with strong period handwriting.
